Rookie Rugby Training - April 29 at 11:00 AM
Arizona Youth Rugby and the Arizona State University Women's team are organizing a free Rookie Rugby instruction session for PE Teachers and Parents. This is intended for individuals interested in becoming familiar with the non-contact version of Rugby to possibly introduce it in their school or community.
The session will start at 11:00 AM. Attendees will be introduced to Rugby history, the value of the sport as an instructional and Physical Education tool, and get trained on basic Touch-Rugby skills and rules.

Are you a Scottsdale or SUSD teacher interested in exposing your students to Rugby? USA Rugby has developed an introductory program called Rookie Rugby where children get introduced to Rugby through a non-contact and simplified version of the sport.
Contact us and we can schedule Rookie Rugby sessions at your school, performed by certified Rookie Rugby instructors from ASU!

For parents and/or teachers interested in going further, we can also help you get to the next step and grow Touch Rugby as one of the Physical Education activities or even start a school based Touch Rugby team, either as part of the PE program or as an after-hour activity.
